I am a Detroit native and was afforded the opportunity to have received the Southfield Kappa Foundation Scholarship throughout my four-year undergraduate education at the University of Michigan. The Southfield Kappa Foundation Scholarship allowed me to complete my undergraduate education and inspired me to pursue an advanced degree in Social Work, my chosen field of study.
Currently, I am a candidate at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, pursuing my Masters in Social Work (MSW). There, I am focused on practice method of concentration in Interpersonal Practice, with a practice area in Mental Health and a minor in Management of Human Services. I’m able to learn from the best minds in the field while reaching my career aspirations to obtain my MSW to become a practicing clinician. All of this would not have been possible without the Southfield Kappa Foundation Scholarship. Thank you, Southfield Kappa Foundation, for investing in my educational endeavors!
